TeleHealth Services Acquires Healthcare Business of Tenavision, Inc.:
(May 15, 2005) TeleHealth Services, the nation's leading provider of television systems in hospitals, has announced its acquisition of the healthcare and hospital businesses of Tenavision, Inc. Under terms of the acquisition, TeleHealth will begin immediately to manage a number of Tenavision television contracts in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.
Bert Lerner, President of Tenavision, says "TeleHealth is a fine company with great resources, very lengthy experience and a compelling vision of the future. I am very happy to be making this announcement."
Mr. Lerner commented that he had been planning his retirement for some time, and has worked actively with TeleHealth Services to ensure a smooth transition for all Tenavision customers.
Dan Nathan, TeleHealth Services General Manager, says his Operations team is meeting with each of the hospitals to discuss their programs. "We will continue the programs without disruption," he added. Mr. Nathan says TeleHealth anticipates hiring the current Tenavision hospital-based employees to assist with the combined operations of the two companies.
Mr. Lerner notes, "Tenavision has provided many years of valuable service to the hospital environment and we are confident that TeleHealth Services will maintain the highest standards. TeleHealth has the technology and field support to enhance the television services available to hospital patients and staff now and into the future."
