First In Texas: TeleHealth Launches TigrNet at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center
(June 10, 2008) TeleHealth Services, a leading provider of integrated communication solutions for the healthcare market, announced today the completion of an in-room interactive patient communications system at the new Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX.
Cedar Park, which opened in December 2007, now offers TigrNetTM in 56 patient rooms where 26" flat-panel televisions deliver powerful interactive communication tools that include on-demand educational videos, multimedia educational content and direct access to hospital services like meal selections. Patients also access the Internet, their email, an expanded lineup of television channels and movies, and games. TeleHealth partnered with Cedar Park Regional Medical Center to customize the TigrNetTM system to the hospital's unique requirements.
