TeleHealth Services Launches Interactive Patient Communications System:

(January 24, 2008) TeleHealth Services, a leading provider of integrated communications solutions for the healthcare market, announced the launch of an in-room interactive patient communications system at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's new Prentice Women's Hospital.

Prentice Women's Hospital, which officially opened in October 2007, offers TigrNet™ in 287 patient rooms, including 42" flat-panel televisions that deliver a powerful array of interactive communications tools: on-demand educational videos, multimedia educational content, access to hospital services – from directories and meal selections, to chaplain services and more. Patients can also access email, an expanded lineup of television channels and movies, play video games and more. TeleHealth partnered with Northwestern Memorial departments extensively in order to customize the TigrNet system to the hospital's unique requirements.

"The flexibility and robust features of TigrNet, plus our team's consultative approach to meeting Northwestern's goals, have enabled Northwestern to provide patients with access to self-service programs and enhanced opportunities to interact with their caregivers," said George Fleming, president and CEO of Telerent Leasing Corp., TeleHealth's parent company.

Prentice Women's Hospital's procedure and consulting rooms also have TeleHealth's TIGR™ video on-demand education system, a comprehensive and easy to use video on-demand system for both patients and staff. In addition, Northwestern Memorial's Galter and Feinberg pavilions also utilize TIGR.
