TeleHealth Services’ MediCom is developed to provide the total and reliable nurse call system for use in hospital and managed care facilities.
MediCom allows clinical staff to provide prompt and effective responses to patients’ communications at all times. Utilizing solid state technology and software, MediCom incorporates a comprehensive and flexible range of call types, priority levels, alarm handling and call indication options configurable to meet the customized needs of any hospital or assisted living facility.
Integrated with state of the art paging and multiple telephony technologies, MediCom allows caregivers to receive and respond to patient calls across the facility thus further increasing staff efficiency.
Patients can activate calls using a palm sized, easy to grip, one button pendant or by utilizing a distinctive, easy to use multi-function patient communications handset, reducing noise and outside distractions in the healthcare facility.
Alarm handling and call indication options range from easy to use nurse stations with overdoor lights, modern alphanumeric colour displays and alarm tones to nurse call communications systems with advanced PC-based central management or touch screen stations with VDU monitor, database and software. Each healthcare nurse call system can be customized to accomplish any hospital or managed care requirement as well as interface to HL7 compatible patient information systems.
Optional two-way speech (talk-back) communications between nurses and patients ensures a more accurate response to calls, resulting in enhanced patient care.
