    Kathy works as the Patient and Family Education Coordinator at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Her job has allowed her to combine three great passions in her life – nursing, teaching and writing. She has many years of experience in both staff and patient education and has written numerous resources for patients and families at Children’s, as well as for commercial patient education companies.

  • Diane Moyer - RN, MS, BSN

    Diane Moyer is the Associate Director for Patient Education at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She is a registered nurse with more than 30 years experience in nursing and 15 years as an expert in health literacy and patient education.

But how do you make your PowerPoint visuals effective so that patients, families and others understand the message and act on it? You can increase the effectiveness of your slides if you create persuasive visuals. In this session, Dave Paradi will introduce you to his five-step KWICK method for creating persuasive visuals and show examples of how it has transformed cluttered and confusing slides into clear communication.
