Thought Leadership Event: Redefine the Patient Experience and Improve Care Transitions with Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Technology

May 1, 2018

Patient engagement studies conducted over a decade at Boston University School of Medicine indicated an overwhelming majority of patients across various demographics preferred receiving their discharge instructions from a virtual patient advocate rather than their human doctor or nurse.

The vision and success of Project RED (Re-Engineered Discharge) is the foundation for developing an innovative, empathetic patient experience platform, iCare Navigator, which incorporates game theory and is driven by an artificial intelligence engine.

During Becker’s Health IT + Clinical Leadership 2018, Dr. Brian Jack and Richard Bootes will demonstrate how patients respond favorably when engaging with an adaptive avatar that acts as a personal health coach who encourages and motivates patients to participate in their own health and wellness. How patients are guided successfully toward higher levels of engagement will also be discussed. In addition, actual patient experiences will be shared, and corresponding metrics from several acute-care hospitals will be presented.

Session will take place on Thursday, May 10 at 9:45am - 10:25am
